Stepping Stones Relaunch

GEODE relaunched the Stepping Stones program on July 14, with five entrepreneurs comprising the first cohort. Classes will run for six weeks, at which time they will be eligible to apply for a micro loan.

Mandate and Objectives

GEODE Mandate

It is the purpose of GEODE to promote grassroots economic development in the City of Greater Sudbury through program development and evaluation in partnership with like-minded individuals, organizations and agencies.

GEODE Objectives

To help relieve poverty in the City of Greater Sudbury through local economic development initiatives that creates and support meaningful and beneficial employment for its citizens. To improve the quality of life in the City of Greater Sudbury through community economic development efforts that support a sustainable environment. To convene with consumers of services, not-for-profit community and government agencies and other organizations to create development, training and education programs to support sustainable community economic development.
